Register pre-Pixel for a free Puzzle card Prototype
Perth-based puzzle creators, Mystery Unfolds, recently trialled their new puzzle card, Escape the Swedish Furniture Store, with its beta testers. With an overwhelming number of applicants, many missed out - but we’re giving Pixel Expo 2024 attendees the chance to score one this weekend.
What is a Puzzle Card?
A puzzle card is an escape room experience in a birthday card. The recipient doesn’t get their gift until they’ve solved the mystery within. A puzzle card can add a new dynamic to gifting, or simply be experienced as a fun, standalone puzzle. They can be solved alone for a challenge or for fun with friends.
Mystery Unfolds has been making puzzle experiences since 2020. Help us deliver the best experience we can by providing feedback on our newest card.
NEW Prototype Puzzle Card: Escape the Swedish Furniture Store
Difficulty: Easy - Medium
Escape the Swedish Furniture Store is an ideal gift for a fan of puzzles or for those who love getting lost in an organised sprawl of furniture, trolleys, shelving, and meatballs.
You wake up in a large semi-familiar space – your last memory of testing out a modular futon is still foggy. You stumble around an endless guided pathway, before finally reaching the exit - but the doors are locked. You quickly realise this is no accident
Escape the Swedish Furniture Store is suitable for someone who:
can read simple English
likes a moderate challenge
enjoys lateral thinking

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s a puzzle card?
A puzzle card is an escape room experience in a Birthday card. The recipient doesn’t get their gift until they’ve solved the puzzle within.A “prototype”? Does that mean it won’t look that nice?
All finished puzzle card designs are hand-drawn and printed onto recycled paper so there’s always the occasional crease or line out of place, but you can be damn sure they look nice. Our prototype cards, are about 80-90% the quality of the finished product and will go through a few additional alignment and linework tweaks. They still look great though, if we do say so.I have multiple people I could gift this to, can I have multiple cards?
Maybe. If you are in need of multiple cards, please leave your request in the comment field provided. Depending on demand, we may not be able to deliver on requests for multiple cards.
Do I need to give this to someone as a gift?
No, you do you not. If you would like to give this card to yourself and enjoy the puzzle-solving experience yourself, then go right ahead and do so.Can I also have one of your other puzzle cards for free?
No. But you can always buy a card. In fact, if you spend more than $30, your standard delivery will be free within Australia. If I don’t pick my card up at the Pixel Expo can I arrange to get it some other way?
No. This is a one-off offer for Pixel attendees. If you can’t pick it up at Pixel, you can’t pick it up.
